How Our Wardrobes & Bedroom Furniture Are Made
The designer will be able to offer suggestions if needed, so that we can really make your space work for you, like… how many doors to go for? How big to have your shelving? Where to position the hanging space? What about shoe storage? And what about suit cases and bedding and other bulky items? We usually fit a top shelf that runs the full length of the wardrobe, this is positioned at just the right height to allow for ‘double’ hanging space, so the clothes have enough space to hang freely. Sometimes customers would rather have a single rail for longer things, with more space for storage above. What ever your preference, we can accommodate it!
The designer will accurately measure the space where your wardrobes are to be fitted, and using a laser technology, we check to make sure your floor, ceiling and walls are level. These usually run out slightly, and there is a certain degree of tolerance within the system, where needed, the fitter will scribe the surround framework to leave a vertical and horizontal opening.
We can organise the fitters arrival time to work around school runs or other appointments, whenever is most convenient for you! The first thing the fitters will do is put down dust sheets to minimise disruption, unload the van and start work on fitting the surround framework ensuring a level and square opening in which to fit the doors. The fitters have a carbon copy of the original design, so they know exactly what needs to go where.
The interior is then installed aligning the shelving and drawers making sure they have the right amount of clearance when the doors open. Any other items are then fitted, such as LED lighting, soft close door mechanisms, wall mirrors, dressing tables and bed side tables.
